Our 1st Year Anniversary Brought Good News

Although we had our wedding celebration on December 21, 2003, we celebrated our 1st year anniversary on July 20, 2004.  And what a wonderful gift we received.  We found out that Mayo Clinic has accepted Johnnie into their Liver Transplant Program.  However, Johnnie still has to be evaluated to see if he will be placed on the United Network Of Organ Sharing (UNOS) national waiting list for a liver.

The week of July 28, 2004, Johnnie will begin his evaluation process.  First, he has to go through registration, meet with the doctor, meet with a social worker, and meet with a nurse.  Then he will begin all of the necessary test.  The entire process is scheduled to last from 10 - 14 working days.  As he completes each stage in this long process, we will continue to add updates from time to time so everyone is aware of how things are going.
